12 Days of Christmas

(as played by the Wilsons of Wyoming)

If you could sing this aloud to the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas that would be great… okay clear your throat….warm your vocal cords….meme…..me….me….. ahhhh, okay try humming…..never mind, maybe you could just have the melody in your head, you know how it goes.

In this year of 2009 the Wilson family got/made/did:

Twelve Lambs a Leaping (We still keep a few ewes- else what would the shepherd do in the spring before he can get into the fields and be the farmer?)

Eleven trips to Jackson (Errol, Elaine, Terry and Betty joined the cheering section for 4-H pig showing)

Ten Cross Country Meets ( All over the state Tavner and Tate smoked the competition)

Nine Baseball Games (Tav plays catch and most of the other positions too)

Eight Track Meets (Tate runs a mean 2 mile)

Seven trips to Utah (at least seven… to see Jenna, Merissa, Jason, Thayne, Jennifer, McKaylee and Miya)

Six trips to Rexburg (actually many more but to fit the song…work with me okay?…one was to see Parley graduate in Mechanical engineering, he has now started on his Master’s degree at University of Idaho)

Five Pipe Movers (Tav, Jake, Derek, Arlin, and Tate in their GQ/Gentleman’s Quarterly pose maybe that should be the FQ/Farmer’s Quarterly)

Four Visitors (Grant, Tiffany, Thayne and Jennifer joined us in Mexico)

Three new granddaughters (Thayne and Jennifer’s Miya, Billy and Alesa’s Eliza Jane and Grant and Tiffany’s Brinley)

Two Family 5/10 Ks (Tavner and Tate joined Liza for a 10K at the Tin Cup Race, Tate came in second man overall. The picture is me and my twin boys with my friend Barb Lindquist (world champion tri-athlete) and her twin boys. We also had a full crew with Bagley Cousins at the Utah Human Race over Thanksgiving.)

And the promise of a new son-in-law.(Jason Davis popped the question to Merissa they are planning on a spring wedding)
